Catherine Warren, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with my Master of Social Work degree and have been practicing in the field since 2014.

I started my career working with transitional age, young adults experiencing homelessness in the Atlanta area, facilitating case management services and groups. Most of my career has been spent within the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility setting, where I was able to gain a more thorough understanding of the impacts of various systems, trauma, abuse, neglect, and substance use.

My training throughout the years has allowed me to learn and practice within various therapeutic modalities, including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Seven Challenges (substance use), Collaborative Problem Solving, and the teaching of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills.

Currently, I work with adolescents 12-17 and adults. I have experience working with grief and loss, anger, anxiety, depression, trauma (PTSD), abuse/neglect, substance use, and family conflict. In addition, I have experience working with adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum, as well as adolescents with mild intellectual disabilities.

In working with clients, I value building a strong therapeutic rapport that will allow for progress in our therapeutic process. As a social worker, I come from a strengths-based approach, valuing your individual strengths as I work with you to identify goals that you would like to achieve and identify skills that can be built and strengthened to help you achieve them. My aim is to provide you with an empathetic and supportive environment that offers you a space filled with safety and autonomy through your individual, therapeutic process. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and inclusive.
